The National Back Pain Helpline is currently the only telephone helpline in the UK dedicated to back pain and related disorders where callers speak directly to fully qualified practicing clinicians specialising in back pain.
The National Back Pain Helpline was launched in July 2008 by a multidisciplinary group of healthcare professionals with special interest in back pain and other spine related disorders. We seek to promote the highest possible standards of care and advice for individual sufferers. This is something we feel can sometimes be affected by the pressures of commercialism and budgeting constraints which does not always necessarily equate to the best solution for the individual.
We only promote and link with of other organisations we feel offer genuine benefit and high quality customer service.
Our operators are able to offer personalised advice on self help strategies, guidance on where and when to seek further face to face help and are able to make referrals for MRI scans over the phone.
